Meet the team!

Who makes Auger Hollingsworth the firm it is? Our people! Here are a few more we’d love you to meet.

Kevan Wylie, Lawyer

What attracted you to personal injury law?

“Relatively early on, I developed a serious interest in pursuing a career as a lawyer. I had an academic interest in torts and contracts, but it wasn’t until I articled at a civil litigation firm that I realized my passion for personal injury. I enjoy having full carriage of claims and making important decisions with my clients. I tend to be a very detail-oriented person, so it comes as no surprise that I enjoy mastering the Rules of Civil Procedure.”

What do you value the most about your work?

“I value bringing a sense of finality to my clients. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I am able to bring my client’s matter from the initial retainer to a conclusion.”

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

“As child, I wanted to be a professional rock climber! I later realized that was not a viable career path.”

Who is your favorite fictional lawyer in books?

“Rudy Baylor in John Grisham’s The Rainmaker is an interesting character.”

If you were to donate your time, which charity would you choose and why?

“I support causes that promote animal welfare, and I have historically donated to local animal shelters.”

William Muir, Associate Lawyer

What attracted you to personal injury law?

“Personal injury gives me the opportunity to make a real impact for good people everyday. Everyone’s case is different and that keeps me on my toes.”

What do you value the most about your work?

“For me, it’s the time I spend with clients getting to know their story and finding a way to make it right. It’s heartening to see our clients get their fair day in court.”

Who is your favorite fictional lawyer in books?

“My favourite fictional character is Dr. House because to him there was no question that could not be answered. He would find original ways to elicit the facts, find out the truth, and make people’s lives better.”

If you were to donate your time, which charity would you choose and why?

“I would donate my time to the access-to-justice (A2J) issues facing our legal system today. I would help startup-ers, entrepreneurs, volunteers and A2J enthusiasts come together and use new IT to build solutions to make the law more accessible.”
