Fatal Accidents on Highway 17

Highway 17 just west of Arnprior saw a fatal collision on June 1, 2011 around 3 p.m. in the afternoon.  It is reported that two tractor-trailers and two other vehicles collided.  Tragically, one man was killed in the motor vehicle accident.

This accident is just days after another Highway 17 accident took the life of Pembroke teen Damon Souliere who was also struck by a tractor trailor.  He was struck near Mattawa.  It is reported he may have been texting a friend around the time of the accident.
