Hobbies/Interests: Travelling, reading, attempting to knit, hiking.

Tricia joined the firm in November 2020 and has the honour of being the first lawyer in our Toronto office.

Born and raised in Toronto, Tricia spent several years in Kingston, Ontario attending Queen’s University, first for her undergraduate degree in Political Studies, followed by Law School. She was called to the bar in 1996. She spent over 20 years practicing insurance defence litigation before moving to plaintiff-side work in 2018. She has found great value in working for injured people and helping them resolve their claims.

Tricia’s litigation experience involves all levels of tribunals and Ontario courts including the Financial Services Commission, the Licence Appeal Tribunal, and appearances in Superior Court, Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal.

This experience means that Tricia now brings a unique perspective to representing injured clients. Her practice includes motor vehicle accident claims, bicycle accidents, slip and fall claims, accident benefits claims, long term disability disputes and other matters. She has a keen interest in ensuring that all people injured in motor vehicle accidents have access to the maximum amount of Statutory Accident Benefits available, including innovative approaches to securing catastrophic impairment designations.

She lives in Toronto with her two boys and two cats. Outside of the office, Tricia enjoys movies (from the early classics to action and espionage), cooking and baking, trying to keep up with the annual PopSugar Reading Challenge, and knitting (which has resulted in a large collection of hats and scarves). She looks forward to being able to travel again. She has survived a road trip to Disney with her children, and other travels have included Paris, Florence, Caribbean cruises, Chicago and New York City. She also enjoys the simple pleasures of a lakeside dock with a book and a beverage.
