Two hospitalized following Ottawa River Parkway car accident

Part of the Ottawa River Parkway’s eastbound lane, between Parkdale Drive and Island Park Drive, was briefly closed to traffic on September 12 after a driver lost control of his car and collided with a tree near Goldenrod Street.

The accident occurred at about 3:00 AM, and left the vehicle’s only passenger trapped inside. Firefighters freed the man and then both the driver and passenger, aged 19 and 20, were transported to hospital for treatment of injuries.

Police have not released the names of the two men involved in the accident, and have not revealed details of their medical condition.
